Which Tampa Bay Lightning Girls Uniform is Better?

I ran across a set of pictures of the Tampa Bay Lightning Girls yesterday that sparked a question in my head. Of the two uniforms here, which one is better? Honestly I'm not sure it really matters since they are both smokin' hot, but I was curious if anyone else had an opinion.

While the blue is more traditional I think, I'm digging the lightning bolt on the black uniform. While it's probably six of one and one half dozen of the other, I thought I'd see if anyone had a strong opinion either way.

The Tampa Bay Lightning Girls Enjoyed Halloween at the Rink

There's nothing better than game night on Halloween. But only if your chosen team has enough foresight to employee cheerleaders. Because that can be a damn near magical night. Take, for instance, the Tampa Bay Lightning Girls.

While the Lightning may have been putting on show down on the ice, the Lightning Girls were entertaining fans with their costumes all over the arena. Looks like it was a great night for the fans and the Lightning Girls alike!

This year's Stanley Cup playoffs have been pretty damned exciting already, but this Finals series is turning out to be one of the best series' in a long time. I haven't really taken a rooting interest in the series so far, but I feel like it's time to pick a side.

So what better way than a Cheer Selfie Saturday post to announce that I'm pulling for the Tampa Bay Lightning? I can't think of any more appropriate method for announcing my allegiance!

I'm not sure who came up with this idea, but the Tampa Bay Lightning Girls decided to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with some sexy fake mustaches. It's a little bit odd, but it's a whole lotta sexy!

We haven't featured the Tampa Bay Lightning Girls since they checked in at #4 on our 2nd Annual NHL Ice Girl Power Rankings back in October. That's too long for a Top 5 squad to go without new pictures.

2nd Annual NHL Ice Girl Power Rankings

I'm sorry we didn't have this ready for the start of the season, but we're here now with our 2nd Annual NHL Ice Girls Power Rankings. This is an incredibly scientific poll where I tell you which NHL ice crews I think are the hottest. It's basically science for the sake of science.

Last year's power rankings were topped by the now defunct Florida Panthers Lady Panthers. It is a major blow to the NHL ice girl landscape to loss such an iconic squad, but I think you are going to be very pleased with this year's squads. Unfortunately we also lost the New Jersey Devils Dancers from last year's list, but we much soldier on.

So which squad has been anointed the new "Hottest NHL Ice Squad" moniker? Guess you just have to scroll down and take a look for yourself.

The Pro Cheerleaders in Tampa are Amazing

Could You Handle a Parent/Teacher Conference With Tampa Bay Bucs Cheerleader Tricia?

If you have kids, then you know that parent/teacher conferences can be an absolute drag. Especially in the early elementary school years. There are only so many paintings of rainbows one person can be expected to look at in one sitting; even if they were painted your own precocious 6 year old. But if your son's teacher was a former Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleader, you might have a different level of interest.

That will be the issue in a first grade classroom in the Tampa area as soon as 2nd year Bucs cheerleader Tricia finishes her elementary education degree at St. Peterburg College. In the mean time, Tricia is going to continue cheering on her Bucs and working in her community.

I'm just hoping she doesn't hang up her pom-poms when she picks up her ruler and chalk!

2013-2014 NHL Ice Girls Power Rankings

When the NFL season kicked off last month, we unveiled our first annual NFL Cheerleader Rankings and crowned the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders the hottest cheerleaders in the league. So we thought it was only right to create a similar list for the start of the NHL season.

Unfortunately, only 14 teams in the NHL actually have Ice Girls, so we had to switch things up a little. So instead of picking our favorites, we are going the power rankings direction. We'll put all 14 squads in order and crown our first ever "Hottest Ice Girls Squad in the NHL." Maybe I should make a plaque or something.
