The Orlando Predators are the First Arena Football Team Featured on Cheer Selfie Saturday

Cheer Selfie Saturday is about to take off. I just have a feeling now that football season is getting into full swing that we are going to see more and more cheerleaders hit us up on social media with the Cheer Selfie Saturday hashtag. At least, that's what I hope is about to happen.

Until the floodgates open, I'm going to hit up the arena league and check in on the Orlando Predators for this week's Cheer Selfie Saturday selection. I'm thinking that will be just fine with everyone!

The San Jose Saberkittens Never Disappoint!

It's rare to find a minor league cheer squad that is as consistent as the San Jose Saberkittens. The weird squad name aside, the Saberkittens deliver gorgeous squads year after year. And that's not incredibly easy for most arena football teams.

Must be something in that San Jose water!

I love discovering new cheer and dance groups. I knew the Orlando Predators dancers existed, but I've never really spent a ton of team checking them out. They just aren't one of the Arena League squads I follow all that closely. So when you ran across this set of pictures from our pal Greg Zordan on Facebook, I just knew I had to share them.

Meet L.A. Kiss Dancer & Contortionist Alexis

We don't spend a whole lot of time talking about arena football cheerleaders and dancers, in my opinion. Honestly, we should probably be talking about them at least once a week. But for some reason they tend to fly under the radar around here.

That changes today with our feature of LA Kiss dancer Alexis. In her second year as a Kiss dancer, Alexis was selected as a captain for this year's squad. While that may sound like a meteoric rise, it makes perfect sense when you realize Alexis is a professional dancer & choreographer. Basically all she does is dance! Plus, she's a contortionist, so she's got that going for her too!

But that is not to say that Alexis lives the easy life. She works incredibly hard on her dancing and choreography and hopes to travel the world as a dancer and teacher for as long as she can. For now, though, she loves being a Kiss Girl. She gets to perform "hardcore" dance routines that are a little edgier than your typical dance team in front of a big crowd that is there to have just as much fun as Alexis. Their uniforms are black leather with chains, after all!

Texas Revolution Overhead Cheer Circle

I've always been a fan of this shot, so I decided to name it. I'm calling it the "Overhead Cheer Circle" (patent pending, of course). And the Texas Revolution Dancers seem to have mastered it already. The bikinis were a wonderful touch!

The LA Kiss Cheerleaders Are Hot

After posting pictures of a couple of LA Kiss cheerleaders taking a pole dancing class, I decided I needed more pictures of these lovely cheerleaders in their actual uniforms. I was not wrong!

The Arizona Rattlers Cheerleaders are Loving this Season

The Arizona Rattlers are crushing the Arena League this year. They are currently 14-2 and have scored almost 100 more points than the next most prolific team in the league. I don't follow the Arena League at all, but I'm guessing that the Rattlers cheerleaders have a pretty good hand in their team's success this season. After all, they are 8-0 at home so far!

The Texas Revolution Dancers is the Best Dance Team in the IFL!

We introduced you to the Texas Revolution dancers a couple of months ago, and I told you then you would be hearing more about them in no time. Not that I'm taking credit or anything, but less than a month after that post these beautiful girls were named the Best Dance Team in the Indoor Football League for the 2nd year in a row.

I may not know a ton about the L.A. Kiss dancers, but after seeing this pictures I sure plan on learning A LOT more about this AFL cheer squad!

Meet the Texas Revolution Dancers

This may be their first foray into the world of Pro Cheerleader Heaven, but I can guarantee you this is not the last time you are going to see the Texas Revolution dancers around here. They may only be in their 2nd year of existence, but there is some serious talent roaming the field for this indoor football league squad.

A Couple of Gorgeous San Jose SabreKittens

I've mentioned it before, but I love the fact that this squad is called the SabreKittens. I'm not sure if the girls find it awesome or ridiculous, but I think it's hilarious. They also happen to be one of the hottest squads in the Arena Football League, so they must be doing something right!

The Pro Cheerleaders in Tampa are Amazing

Here's a quick picture of some Tampa Bay Lightning ice girls hanging out with the Tampa Bay Storm cheerleaders. How did I not know Tampa had so many amazing women?

SI Cheerleader of the Week: Arizona Rattlers' Alexandra

The folks that run the SI Cheerleader of the Week feature took a bit of a detour to the Arena League this week to feature Arizona Rattlers' cheerleader Alexandra. Personally, I think they made a wonderful decision. I've had pictures of Alexandra here on Pro Cheerleader Heaven in the past (here for instance), and I think she is a knockout!

Check Out the 2013 AFL Dream Team Dancers

Every year for the ArenaBowl, the AFL puts together an all star squad of cheerleaders as voted on by the fans. The Dream Team Dancers perform at the ArenaBowl and represent each team in the league. I think that's a pretty cool idea, honestly.
