Sacramento Kings Dancer Katerina is a Fitness Junkie

We've talked about this before, but I just can't jump on the CrossFit bandwagon. It doesn't look like any fun at all to me. Maybe that's just because I'm out of shape. Maybe CrossFit is exactly what I need to do to get motivated.

Plus, I might run into someone like Sacramento Kings dancer Katerina. In her 5th year with the Kings, Katerina does CrossFit or weight lifting 5-6 times a week on top of all of her dance team practices and games. That makes me tired just thinking about it. And it proves what we say around here all the time, "Strong is Sexy!"

Having just graduated from UC-Davis with a degree in Clinical Nutrition, Katerina is hoping to break into the entertainment industry. She currently has her sights set on something like fitness modelling, dancing or broadcasting. Based on her pictures, I'm thinking being some kind of fitness personality sounds like exactly the right path.

But hopefully that doesn't pull her away from the Kings Dancers, though. Katerina says she loves performing in front of the fans and getting the rush from dancing in front of all of those people. She also loves acting as a role model for younger dancers that are just starting to pursue their dreams in life. Sounds to me like she'll be taking the court for at least a few more years to come!

Cheer Selfie Saturday: SacTown Style

We haven't heard from the Sacramento Kings dancers here on Pro Cheerleader Heaven since we asked you to help us select this year's squad by voting on your favorite tryout hopefuls. I have to say, we all made some pretty darn good choices!

Exhibit #1 is Kings dancer Corina's badass cheer selfie. This picture is exactly what Cheer Selfie Saturday is all about.

NBA All Star Weekend Cheerleader Pictures

This last weekend was the NBA All Star game and all of the ridiculous festivities that go along with it. While there was plenty of bitching about the slam dunk contest and the game itself, there was one aspect of the weekend I never heard a single bad thing about: the cheerleaders.

So I perused the web to find all kinds of great shots from the weekend's #1 highlight. Damn the NBA cheerleaders are hot!

Pictures From the Sacramento Kings Cheerleader Tryouts

These pictures are a little late (since the team has already been announced), but I thought it would still be worthwhile to share some great pics from the tryouts for the Sacramento Kings Dance Team.

So check out the pics and then see if your favorite made the squad!

Sacramento Kings' Dancer Roxanne

The Sacramento Kings' fans may have suffered through another abysmal season, but at least they get to have a team next year. Well, maybe. Or maybe not. Probably not actually.

OK, so on to looking for a bright spot for the fans. How about the fact they got to see Roxanne at home games this year. I mean, that's got to be better than watching DeMarcus Cousins be your best player. By far. At least Roxanne is easy on the eyes. Can't really say that about the rest of the Kings.

Well, here is to hoping that the Kings actually do stay in Sacramento next year so we get to see more of Roxanne. Or maybe she'll follow the team to Seattle!

Sacramento Kings Cheerleaders

I drove through Sacramento one time on a road trip to San Jose. Seemed like a typical capital city. Nothing remarkable, but nothing too terrible. The Kings' cheerleaders, on the other hand, seem to be a much bigger draw than anything else going on in that city (especially the team they cheer for).
