NFC Wild Card Cheerleader Preview: Detroit Lions v. Dallas Cowboys

Normally I would be really pissed about this playoff match-up since the Detroit Lions still refuse to recognize their unofficial cheerleading squad, but I'm in a good mood. So I'm just going to show off the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders in the hopes that someone finally sharpens up in that front office.

After all, I still have the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders to keep me company today. There is no NFL cheer squad more official than the DCCs! Hell, I'm guessing more people like the Cowboys cheerleaders than the actual team. Which wouldn't be that hard.

NFL Game of the Week Cheerleader Preview: Detroit Lions v. New England Patriots

There are some decent games on the schedule this week, but the one that excites me the most is cross-conference battle between the Detroit Lions and the New England Patriots. The Pats are the hottest team in the league right now, and I'm not sure anyone can stop them at this point. That being said, the Lions are pretty strong this year, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

More importantly, this game gives me another opportunity to implore the Lions ownership to fully recognize the Detroit Pride cheerleaders while also featuring one of the more unheralded cheer squads in the league up in Foxboro. Best of both worlds for me.

NFL Game of the Week Cheerleader Preview: Miami Dolphins v. Detroit Lions

Any chance I get to feature the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders, I am going to take it. And since they are matched up in one of the few games of the week featuring two teams with winning records, I think they are a shoe-in for Game of the Week.

Plus we get to put in another plug for the Detroit Lions ownership to formally recognize the Detroit Pride cheerleaders. These girls are working hard for your team, just make them official already!

Meet the 2014-2015 Detroit Pride Cheerleaders

Even though they aren't officially recognized by their own franchise yet, the Detroit Pride cheerleaders have always been official here at Pro Cheerleader Heaven. So we were excited to see the first picture of their 2014-2015 incarnation. Hopefully this is the year these girls become bona fide!

Celebrate the New Year with the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders Bikini Calendar

You need a calendar today anyway, right? So why not go out get the Detroit Pride cheerleaders calendar and try to give the Lions an incentive to make them official? I think that's what they call a win/win.

Here are some behind the scenes shots to whet your appetite.

Monday Night Football Cheerleader Preview: Baltimore Ravens v. Detroit Lions

This is a huge game for the Baltimore Ravens. Win and they are back on the right side of the playoff picture. Lose and they have a big hill to climb. Their schedule is much tougher the rest of the season compared to the Dolphins, so the Ravens can't afford to lose this game.

The Detroit Lions, on the other hand, are going to need a lot of help to get into the playoffs. They are having a decent season, but they need to win out and get a lot of help before punching their ticket to the post-season.

And do you know why the Ravens have a better shot at the playoffs: cheerleaders. The Ravens cheerleaders are amazing and the Lions cheerleaders are unofficial and struggling just to exist. I think it's just that simple!

Detroit Pride Cheerleader Maryssa

I'm sure you know all about the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders, the unofficial cheerleaders of the Detroit Lions. We've even featured them on Pro Cheerleader Heaven a couple of times in hopes of raising awareness of their attempt to earn official cheerleader designation from the Puritanical leaders of the Lions organization.

Well, we decided to up the ante a little bit and feature just one of the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders this time around. But I think you'll agree that Maryssa is so smokin' hot that the Lions brass won't be able to ignore her and her teammates any longer. Calvin Johnson is great and all, but why wouldn't you want someone like Maryssa as the public image of your franchise? Seems like a no-brainer to me.

So lets get the word out people. Share this with all your friends and make sure the message reaches the bigwigs in Detroit: Maryssa will not be ignored any longer!

This Is My Monday Night Football Nightmare

Two teams with no cheerleaders playing on Monday Night Football in 2011 is just unacceptable. Honestly, is it that hard to find some chicks, throw some skimpy uniforms & pompoms at them and tell them to shake for the crowd every now and then?

At least the Lions have their unofficial cheerleaders The Pride. They may not let them on the field, but it's better than what the Bears have, so I'm going with the Lions tonight. Also, the Pride have a bikini calendar coming out, and that's nothing to sneeze at!

Detroit Lions Finally Get Cheerleaders (Sorta)

So this is strange story. The Lions have decided to have a quasi-cheerleader squad after 76 years of general dumbassery. But they can't wear Lions colors, do cheers or take pictures with fans. So, what exactly is the point?
