Behind the Scenes at the Denver Outlaws Dancers 1st Ever Bikini Calender Photo Shoot!

The Denver Outlaws are a Major League Lacrosse team that just absolutely gets it. While I'm sure there are plenty of lacrosse fans in Denver, the Outlaws know they are going to have to offer more than just lacrosse to get people out to the games.

That's where the Outlaws Dance Team comes into the equation. Long one of our favorite minor league squads, the Outlaws dancers have always been a step ahead of the vast majority of squads in the more obscure leagues. And this year they are taking that to the next level.

Following in the steps of the Allen Americans Ice Angels, the Outlaws dancers are putting together their first ever bikini calendar. Lucky for us, our pal Kendra is a member of the Outlaws dance team and took some great behind the scenes shots that will most definitely whet your appetite for the real thing!

Happy Birthday to Denver Outlaws Cheerleader Dominique

Over on our Twitter account a week or two ago, I asked for recommendations for a cheerleader feature. While I didn't get a ton of response, I did get an email nominating Denver Outlaws cheerleader Dominique. I thought that was a pretty amazing recommendation since there aren't a ton of people that know much about Major League Lacrosse cheerleaders (yours truly excluded, of course). So I contacted Dominique, and she was totally down.

It just so happens today is her birthday, so I thought this would be a perfect time to run her feature. A Human Development major at Colorado State University, Dominique is "100% Italian." While she plans to be a child life specialist and help hospitalized children and their families once she graduates, there is one other potential career path she could head down: circus contortionist! Dominique says she is "insanely flexible." It's always nice to have a fall-back career in case the first one doesn't pan out!

Since this went so well, I'd love to get more nominations. Leave a comment, find us on Twitter or Facebook or shoot us an email at cheerheaven1@gmail.com.

Denver Outlaws Dancers are in Prime Form

The Major League Lacrosse season is racing towards the finish line, and we haven't spent nearly enough time talking about the Denver Outlaws dancers. Not sure how that happened since we all know exactly how gorgeous these girls are!

Denver Outlaws Cheerleaders

I'm beginning to think the Denver Outlaws cheerleaders might be my favorite cheer squad outside of the 4 major leagues!

Denver Outlaws' Cheerleader Emily

Emily is actually the 3rd member of the Denver Outlaws Dance Team that we've featured on Pro Cheerleader Heaven. Added to her teammates Megan and Hayley, that makes a pretty insane haul for a professional lacrosse team.

Emily is just a rookie on this year's squad, but she certainly seems to fit in. Not to mention the fact that she seems to be wicked smart. The one person she would love to have dinner with isn't Kim Kardashian or Princess Diana, but Johann Wolfgang von Goethe who she calls "the first literary superstar and one of the greatest contributors to German Romanticism." Excuse me? German Romanticism? I can barely spell that let alone tell you what it means.

I think that absolutely makes Emily a fairly unique bird in the world of pro cheerleaders. She certainly isn't the only smart cheerleader out there, but I can't think of many who have such a solid grasp on German Romanticism.

Colorado Lacrosse Cheerleader Pro Hayley

This is Hayley and she LOVES cheering at professional lacrosse games apparently. She has cheered for both the Colorado Mammoth and the Denver Outlaws to this point in her career. I'm not sure how many more professional lax teams they have in Colorado, so Hayley might have to move on if she wants to continue cycling through the ranks.

As long as she keeps taking pictures, I don't care where she cheers!

Denver Outlaws Dancer Megan Used to Cheer for Colorado

I love to college cheerleaders and dancers make the move to the pro ranks. It's a natural progression, and it makes my job that much easier.

Megan used to be a dancer for the University of Colorado, but now she's shaking it professionally for the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse. Good for her. Can't let those dance moves get rusty.
