Cheerleaders of the AFC Championship Game

Today might very well be the last chapter in the best QB rivalry of the last decade or more. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady have had some epic battles over the last few years, but today could very realistically be the last head-to-head battle. Which makes this game even more important for a lot of people.

For me, it's all about which cheer squad gets to make the trek to Super Bowl 50 in a couple of weeks. The Manning/Brady thing is cool and all, but this battle between the Broncos cheerleaders and Patriots cheerleaders is just as epic in my world. And I have no idea who I give the edge to!

NFL Divisional Round Cheerleader Preview: Steelers vs. Broncos

As a Kansas City Chiefs fan I find it very hard to root for the Denver Broncos. As much as I love the Broncos cheerleaders, I spent too many Sundays watching John Elway destroy my beloved team to ever really root for them. But I am going to make an exception today. I just hope 11-year old me can understand the sacrifice I'm making for the greater good here.

After all, I think 11-year old me would understand putting my allegiances behind a team that has cheerleaders over a team that doesn't. That sounds like something 11-year old me would be cool with.

NFL Divisional Round Cheerleader Preview: Seahawks vs. Panthers

For most NFL fans, this is the game we all wanted to see in the playoffs. And while I would have preferred for these teams to meet up in the NFC Championship Game, beggars can't be choosers. We'll just have to enjoy the best match-up of the playoffs in round 2.

Hey, it's not like I'm complaining about getting the chance to talk about these amazing cheer squads a week early. I just wanted to be able to talk about them both for an additional week. Oh well, I guess I will just be happy with what I've got!

At least we'll get to see either the SeaGals or the TopCats next week.

NFL Divisional Round Cheerleader Preview: Packers vs. Cardinals

OK, we all need to get on board here and make sure the Cardinals win this game. While I appreciate the ability to spend a lot of time on the Cards cheerleaders, I hate a one-sided cheerleader preview. Because it's really not much of a preview.

But I really do like having the opportunity to spend extra time on the Cardinals cheerleaders. Somehow they just keep reloading every single year. For a franchise that is relatively new to winning on the field, their cheer squad has been "winning" for years!

NFL Divisional Round Cheerleader Preview: Chiefs vs. Patriots

This is EXACTLY what I didn't want for my Chiefs. Sure they've won 11 games in a row and are the hottest team in the NFL right. That's great and usually would bode well in a match-up with a team that ended the season 3-4.

But the New England Patriots just do not lose at home in the playoffs. It happens about as often as a Loch Ness monster sighting. So excuse me if I don't have a ton of confidence that my team can walk into Foxboro and escape with a victory.

But at least both teams have top notch cheer squads for me to research as I prepare for the game. For that, at least, I am quite thankful.

NFL Wild Card Cheerleader Preview: Redskins vs. Packers

Our last NFL Wild Card cheerleader preview of the weekend could be considered a little bit of a letdown if you don't have the right mindset about things. Just like yesterday's preview of the Steelers/Bengals game, only one of the teams in today's late game actually has cheerleaders. And while that would normally chap my hide, I'm OK with it today.

That's because the cheer squad for today's game is the First Ladies of Football. The wonderfully named Washington Redskins cheerleaders are absolutely NFL cheer royalty, and any chance I get to talk about them makes me happy. And when they are paired against a team without cheerleaders at all, then I'm all in on the Redskins bandwagon.

NFL Wild Card Cheerleader Preview: Seahawks vs. Vikings

Congratulations to the Minnesota Vikings for winning the NFC North for the first time since 2012 and were promptly rewarded with a match-up with the back-to-back NFC champion Seattle Seahawks. Doesn't seem like much of a reward for winning a conference title. But that is way the cookie crumbles, I guess.

On the plus side for all of us, the Vikings and Seahawks cheerleaders are both world class and give us a wonderful playoff game cheerleader preview. Which won't necessarily be the case a little later in the day today.

NFL Wild Card Cheerleader Preview: Steelers v. Bengals

This is exactly why I stopped doing cheerleader previews for NFL games. While there are plenty of times I get to post pictures of two incredibly talented groups of cheerleaders in a game preview, there are also times where only one team is smart enough to have cheerleaders. And God forbid neither team has cheerleaders. That is my own personal hell.

So instead of 2 sets of cheerleaders in this post, you just get double the Cincinnati Bengals cheerleaders. So I guess it's not all that bad after all.

NFL Wild Card Cheerleader Preview: Chiefs vs. Texans

The NFL playoffs are finally here, and I finally get to root my team on during the festivities. For the first time in a few years, the Kansas City Chiefs are in the playoffs and are actually playing like a team that could win their first postseason games since 1993.

The only thing that stands in their way is the Houston Texans. And while I normally root for the Texans solely based on my love of their cheerleaders, this week I'm going to have to stay loyal to my Chiefs. Sorry ladies, I can't betray my boys in red!

The Atlanta Braves Tomahawk Team Is Playoff Ready

Yes, I know the Atlanta Braves season has been over for a few weeks now. And I know they didn't even really sniff the postseason. But that doesn't the Braves Tomahawk Team isn't primed for their chance to shine in the playoffs. Maybe next season, ladies. Maybe next season.
