Somehow the Memphis Grizzlies dance squad keeps getting overlooked here at Pro Cheerleader Heaven. I don't know why that happens. It sure as hell isn't a conscious decision. I think it really comes down to a "too many cheerleaders, not enough time" issue. Which is a terrible excuse.

So we're going to start our apology to the Grizz Girls with this great Cheer Selfie Saturday submission and hope that we can keep them more on our radar as the year progresses.

Did You Know the Memphis Grizzlies are 12-2?

I'm not a huge NBA fan (other than the cheerleaders, of course), so I had no idea the Memphis Grizzlies had started the season 12-2. That doesn't mean much to me still, but it does give me the perfect reason to feature the Grizz Girls here on Pro Cheerleader Heaven. Works for me.

Nobody saw this coming, but the Memphis Grizzlies dancers might get to celebrate a major NBA playoff upset tonight if their squad and knock off Oklahoma City. I'm a big Kevin Durant fan, but even I'm pulling for the Grizzlies and the upset tonight.

Meet the 2013-2014 Memphis Grizzlies Dancers

The Memphis Grizzlies are one of those teams that I don't think people really now how to peg. Are they really as good as they look or are they just a flash in the pan? I'm not sure I really care, honestly. I'm more concerned with their dancers. That is how I'm going to decide whether or not this is a NBA squad I need to pay attention to.

So here is the 2013-2014 squad. I'll let you make up your own mind.

NBA Game of the Day Cheerleader Preview: Memphis Grizzlies v. Dallas Mavericks

The NBA season is finally underway, so that means it's time to get back into the swing of things with the NBA cheerleaders and dancers. Every Saturday we're going to feature the best game of the day and preview it the only way we know how: with cheerleaders. Think of it like our NFL Game of the Week feature.

This week we get started with the Memphis Grizzlies and the Dallas Mavericks. Both teams have their sights set high this season, and an early season battle might give us a little insight into whether one team has the upperhand in the Western Conference.

It looks as if the NBA is actually going to have a season, but I'll believe it when I see DWade back in a Heat jersey. But I'm praying it's true because I can't wait to see what the Memphis Grizzlies cheerleaders have in store for us this year.

The Grizz Girls are celebrating their franchise's first ever playoff victory today after the Grizzlies beat the Spurs last night in San Antonio. Sure Mano was out, but does that really matter? The Grizzlies won the game and the Grizz Girls get to celebrate. I bet there was a good party last night down on Beale Street.

I love Memphis. Parts of the city may be dirty and dangerous as hell, but it's hard to beat Beale Street. Throw in some sexy NBA cheerleaders, and I'm a BIG fan.

Maybe they're trying to cut costs down there in Memphis. Because it looks to me like those cheerleaders are out there in the jeans they wore to the arena that night. Seriously, you can't afford a tiny little skirt. How much could they possibly cost. At least we get one shot of them in a regular uniform.
