Oklahoma City Thunder Dancers Take a Cheer Selfie for Their New Coach

The OKC Thunder had a pretty rough year, and things might get even worse in the future if the ship isn't righted in a hurry. So management pulled off a big coup and snagged one of the best coaches in all of college basketball to lead their team into the next phase.

We're thinking the Thunder dancers in this cheer selfie are pretty excited about the upcoming Billy Donovan era. And probably even more excited about being featured on Cheer Selfie Saturday!

NBA All Star Weekend Cheerleader Pictures

This last weekend was the NBA All Star game and all of the ridiculous festivities that go along with it. While there was plenty of bitching about the slam dunk contest and the game itself, there was one aspect of the weekend I never heard a single bad thing about: the cheerleaders.

Game of the Day Cheerleader Preview: Oklahoma Thunder v. San Antonio Spurs

There aren't too many teams in the NBA with only single-digit losses at this point, and tonight we get to see two of them go head-to-head. I actually really like both the Thunder and the Spurs, so this one is tough for me. To make things worse, I'm a fan of both of their cheer squads. Is it possible to root for a tie in basketball?

Oklahoma City Thunder Girl Bailee

We are perilously close to the start of the NBA regular season. Which means the return of NBA cheerleaders and dancers. I've tried to get you guys back in the NBA cheerleader mood lately with posts of Orlando Magic cheerleader Lyndsay, 76ers Dream Team dancer Sabella and the Charlotte Lady Cats Halloween photo shoot.

Today we're headed south to Oklahoma City to check out Thunder Girl Bailee. This Oklahoma State student has a Julia Roberts-esque mouth, and that usually turns me off. But I have a tendency to look past that when the rest of her is smokin' hot. So do work Bailee!

Can we just talk for a minute about how much I love the fact that OKC's dance squad is called the Thunder Girls? Are there many professional cheer squads with a better name? All I can think about every time I hear it is some guy in section 115 saying "Damn, them girls bring the THUNDER!" every time they take the court. Just perfect.

And you know Kelsey does, in fact, "bring the THUNDER" every time she hits the hardwood. Just look at that smile and tell me she doesn't warm up your cold, dead heart a little bit. Thought so.

In case you haven't noticed, the Thunder are actually over .500 after the first 45 games of the season. While they may not be a dominate team yet, it certainly looks like things are headed in the right direction finally. Of course, it doesn't hurt to have scoring machine Kevin Durant leading the way. I wonder if Portland would rethink drafting Greg Oden over Durant today if given the option.

Regardless, it's nice to see the Thunder cheerleaders actually have a reason to smile and dance for once. They really deserve it. Because it sure was a waste of "talent" down there for a few years.
