I got an email tip a few days ago letting me know that the 2013-2014 Washington Capitals Red Rockers just released a bunch of pictures of the new squad. So you know what that means: here is the entire squad in one fail swoop!

2013-2014 NHL Ice Girls Power Rankings

When the NFL season kicked off last month, we unveiled our first annual NFL Cheerleader Rankings and crowned the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders the hottest cheerleaders in the league. So we thought it was only right to create a similar list for the start of the NHL season.

Unfortunately, only 14 teams in the NHL actually have Ice Girls, so we had to switch things up a little. So instead of picking our favorites, we are going the power rankings direction. We'll put all 14 squads in order and crown our first ever "Hottest Ice Girls Squad in the NHL." Maybe I should make a plaque or something.

The Washington Capitals Cheerleaders Need Hockey Back

We are getting dangerously close to losing this entire NHL season, and I am not one bit happy about it. Not only am I losing one of my favorite winter pasttimes, but I'm also losing out on a ton of great hockey cheerleader pictures. This is a travesty for you and me.

Good thing my buddy Stewart Small has a small treasure trove of pics of the Washington Capitals cheerleaders from the past few seasons. So, for now at least, I can drown my sorrows in Stewart's pictures and hope for brighter days ahead.

We don't talk much hockey on Pro Cheerleader Heaven, but that's only because it's hard to find many good hockey cheerleader pictures. But I thought it was important to point out that the Washington Capitals finally lost last night in overtime. That snapped a 14-game winning streak. Pretty damned impressive.
