Cheerleaders of the NFC Championship Game

This is the match-up that the majority of the country wanted to see in the NFC Championship Game. I totally get that. A couple of great teams with great histories battling it out for a chance to win it all. That is compelling stuff.

Personally, from a purely cheerleader stand point, I would have liked to see the Dallas Cowboys go all the way. Those cheerleaders are guaranteed clicks and pageviews. But as it stands we're going to have a good football game and still get to see the 8th hottest cheer squad in the league in the Sea Gals.

Plus, now that we know the Packers actually use cheerleaders from local colleges at some of their games, this isn't a complete wash like it would have been in the past.

Cheerleaders of the NFL Divisional Playoffs: Cowboys v. Packers

I love that two of the most storied franchises in NFL history are battling it out in the divisional playoffs today. It's fun to get fresh blood into the playoffs, but there is just something wonderful about harkening back to the days of yore come playoff time.

This match-up, in particular though, creates a little problem for me since the Green Bay Packers don't actually use their own cheerleaders. Typically they "borrow" cheerleaders from a near-by university to serve as Packers cheerleaders. Which works, I guess. But they sure aren't as iconic at the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders!

Do The Green Bay Packers Have Cheerleaders Now?

I thought they were one of the last hold outs until I saw this picture. Anybody know what's going on up in Cheese-land?

Sunday Night Football Preview -- Vikings v. Packers

Last year this game was a big story for like 2 months. This year, there seems to be a different Favre-related story circulating. You may have heard a little something about it. Honestly, that story doesn't really do a whole lot for me. Sure the guy's a moron, but I just can't get fired up about it.

As far as this game goes, I think it's pretty obvious who I'm picking here since the Packers still refuse to have cheerleaders. Speaking of morons!!!

Monday Night Football Cheerleader Match-Up Week 3

Ahh, the old NFL Norris Division. This game really should never be played before at least the middle of October. It's just too warm outside for the Packers and Bears to play each other. This game should be played when there is snow on the ground. Hell, most of the players won't even be wearing long sleeves tonight.

The other thing that sucks about this game: A COMPLETE F'ING LACK OF CHEERLEADERS. Are you kidding me, NFL? How am I supposed to break down the game based on the cheerleaders if there are no cheerleaders? It's like the NFL doesn't even know I exist. What a joke. So here's a pic of the Bears cheerleaders from the 80's and some crazy Packers granny. Enjoy.

NFL Playoffs Cheerleader Preview -- Cardinals v. Packers

The last of our 3 rematches in week 1 of the playoffs, the Pack and Cards come into this game with a couple of gunslinger QBs with dramatically different playoff resumes. Kurt Warner has played in multiple playoff wins and Super Bowl appearances. Aaron Rodgers is making his postseason debut tonight. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, I don't think that's going to matter too much. Rodgers is absolutely on fire right now and it's going to take a VERY good game to beat the Packers.

For a cheerleader perspective, though, this game is a no-brainer. The Cardinals cheerleaders are smokin' hot and the Packer refuse to have cheerleaders. So, by default, I have to pick Arizona tonight. It's just the principle of the thing.

Monday Night Football Cheerleader Match-Up #4

Another crazy week comes to end tonight with the Green Bay Packers hosting the Baltimore Ravens. It's gonna be a cold, hard-hitting game at Lambeau Field tonight, but just let the cheerleaders warm you up. Let's see which side has the cheerleader advantage tonight.

Green Bay Packers

I found this little explanation on the Packers website:

The Green Bay Packers once had official cheerleaders, but after the 1988 season the decision was made not to reinstate them. While some Packers fans supported the official cheerleaders, many were opposed or indifferent, at best.

Helping the Packers make the decision to discontinue the program was a television news poll in which fans were generally split over whether they wanted the program to continue.

Then the Packers' executive vice president of administration, Bob Harlan was quoted in an official release Feb. 7, 1989, saying: "In general terms, the poll disclosed there were as many fans who expressed opposition to the return of the cheerleaders as there were those in favor of restoring them. On that basis, we felt the appropriate decision at this time would be to continue without them."

At this time, there are no plans to return to official cheerleaders.

If, as a fan base, you are "indifferent at best" about cheerleaders, then this is how you will be represented on this blog!

I'm not sure we really need to go through with this charade, but it would be a damn shame to not show off the hotties on the Ravens cheerleader squad. There are some really hot women on this squad and every single one of them looks to be very well-endowed upstairs. I'm sure they're super smart too.

I think it's pretty obvious who is going to win this game. If you don't have cheerleaders, you don't deserve to win a football game. And you can bet your britches I will never pick you to win. Ever!
