Will the Chicago Bears Ever Revive the Honeybears?

The good people over at ChicagoHoneyBears.net are still pushing the Chicago Bears to revive their cheer squad. I'm hoping it happens sooner rather than later. And I'm hoping they wear these uniforms!

Monday Night Football Cheerleader Preview: Dallas Cowboys v. Chicago Bears

Normally I would be a little annoyed with this Monday Night Football match-up. Sure we would get to feature the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, but for some reason the Chicago Bears disbanded their cheer squad, the Honey Bears, after the 1985-1986 football season. There are a few stories as to why the cheerleaders went away, but that doesn't matter anymore. We just need them back.

And, thankfully, there is a group that is trying to drum up support for bringing back the Honey Bears. They have even put together some mock Honey Bears uniforms (those are the pics we're using for this post) . Check them out at ChicagoHoneyBears.net and let them know you support their cause.

Monday Night Football Cheerleader Match-Up Week 3

Ahh, the old NFL Norris Division. This game really should never be played before at least the middle of October. It's just too warm outside for the Packers and Bears to play each other. This game should be played when there is snow on the ground. Hell, most of the players won't even be wearing long sleeves tonight.

The other thing that sucks about this game: A COMPLETE F'ING LACK OF CHEERLEADERS. Are you kidding me, NFL? How am I supposed to break down the game based on the cheerleaders if there are no cheerleaders? It's like the NFL doesn't even know I exist. What a joke. Monday Night Football Cheerleader Match-Up #6

Well this is just starting to get annoying. Why in the hell would any self-respecting NFL team not have cheerleaders? Don't they know I'm running a blog about pro cheerleaders? Makes it a little difficult to preview a football game without cheerleaders. Whatever. At least the Vikings came to play.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

This squad has all of the bells and whistles necessary to win a championship. They have the flash and the grinders that can work together to form the perfect unit. Who cares if there is a little in-fighting & squabbling, there is enough talent here to overcome damn near any obstacle.

CHICAGO BEARS

The Bears apparently disbanded the Honey Bears after the 1985 season because the squad didn't fit the tough image the football team had at the time. Well maybe it's time to re-think that decision fellas. Because you certainly aren't very tough anymore. Here's a pic from back in the day as a token gesture.

Do I really even need to tell you who I think wins this game? Here's a hint, it's not the team who's cheerleaders can be found promoting film for a camera that was out of date over a decade ago!
