I Can't Believe the New Islanders Ice Girls are Gone!

In what is becoming an all-to-common trend in the NHL, the New York Islanders have decided to scrap years of tradition as they move their team to Brooklyn. Instead of making the smart move, the Islanders have decided to get rid of the Islanders Ice Girls. What in the holy hell is going on here?

We've already lost the Florida Panthers Lady Panthers and New Jersey Devils Dancers in the last couple of years. Now we're losing the original Ice Girls squad? This is almost too much to take. I think the NHL is trying to piss me off at this point!

Happy Birthday to New York Islanders Ice Girl Christi

Help us wish New York Islanders ice girl Christi a very happy birthday.

The New York Islanders are Leading the Eastern Conference?

I'm a pretty casual fan of the NHL. I don't really get too interested until playoff time. So you will have to excuse the fact that I just realized the New York Islanders are currently leading the Eastern Conference. I'm so used to them being terrible that it never dawned on me they might have a good season.

I think we all know why New York's "other hockey team" is doing so well this year: the Islanders Ice Girls, of course. We had them at #9 in our Ice Girls Rankings at the beginning of the year, but they sure seem to be making a case to rise up the list next year.

2nd Annual NHL Ice Girl Power Rankings

I'm sorry we didn't have this ready for the start of the season, but we're here now with our 2nd Annual NHL Ice Girls Power Rankings. This is an incredibly scientific poll where I tell you which NHL ice crews I think are the hottest. It's basically science for the sake of science.

Last year's power rankings were topped by the now defunct Florida Panthers Lady Panthers. It is a major blow to the NHL ice girl landscape to loss such an iconic squad, but I think you are going to be very pleased with this year's squads. Unfortunately we also lost the New Jersey Devils Dancers from last year's list, but we much soldier on.

So which squad has been anointed the new "Hottest NHL Ice Squad" moniker? Guess you just have to scroll down and take a look for yourself.

New York Islanders Ice Girls

I know they finished the season at the bottom of their division, but at least New York Islanders fans had some smokin' hot ice girls to keep their attention on the ice this year. Things could always be better next year!

New York Islanders Ice Girls to Ring in the New Year

I hope everyone has a fun, safe, exciting New Year's Eve tonight. Just in case you need a way to pass the time before you can hit the town, here are the New York Islanders Ice Girls!

Graceful New York Islanders Cheerleaders

Are the Islanders even still a team? I had kinda forgotten they even existed. At least they have some cute girls that skate around and clean the ice during breaks. That's one thing their fans can enjoy this season!

New York Islanders Ice Girls

I'm not sure if these hockey girls are considered cheerleaders or not, but anytime there is a girl in a team uniform with a short skirt I'm calling that a cheerleader. And, honestly, it's not like there is anything else worth watching at an Islanders' game right now.

Hot Hockey Cheerleaders

This is kind of a hodge-podge of cheerleaders from different hockey teams, but I didn't feel like splitting them up by team. I might need to find more hockey cheerleaders, though, because these girls are HOT.
