St. Louis Rams Cheerleader Sara Takes Over Sports Illustrated

Once again the Sports Illustrated Cheerleader of the Week feature hit it out of the park when they hit up St. Louis and visited the Rams cheerleaders. While I'm a big fan of the Rams cheerleaders as a whole, I'm not sure they could have made a better pick than Sara.

I Can't Believe the New Islanders Ice Girls are Gone!

In what is becoming an all-to-common trend in the NHL, the New York Islanders have decided to scrap years of tradition as they move their team to Brooklyn. Instead of making the smart move, the Islanders have decided to get rid of the Islanders Ice Girls. What in the holy hell is going on here?

We've already lost the Florida Panthers Lady Panthers and New Jersey Devils Dancers in the last couple of years. Now we're losing the original Ice Girls squad? This is almost too much to take. I think the NHL is trying to piss me off at this point!

I have always been a big fan of the San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleaders. So I was excited to tune in to Monday Night Football on opening weekend to see what the Gold Rush girls had in store for us. Unfortunately I totally forgot to watch the game. Big mistake on my part.

I have since come to find out the Gold Rush cheerleaders rocked full body black jumpsuits a la Catwoman. Are you kidding me? I missed that? It was a bold choice for the Bay Area ladies, but I think these pictures prove they totally pulled it off!

Known by the best nickname in all of professional cheerleading, the First Ladies of Football are an absolute American treasure. They may get overshadowed by their cross-division rival down in Dallas, but I would stack the Redskins cheerleaders up against any professional cheer squad in the world.

So I thought we should meet the entire 2015-2016 squad just in case anyone had any doubts about what I was claiming. But, of course, I think I know what I'm talking about at this point!

One of the big problems with being a fan of cheerleaders is the constant turnover every squad has to deal with. So just as I start to recognize girls they take off down a new path in life that is not conducive to the cheer life. I understand that's natural, but it's still a bummer.

One of the cheerleaders I miss the most these days is former Miami Dolphins cheerleader Brianne. We did a mini feature on her back in 2013 and even had her as our Twitter avatar until just recently. Now that she's done cheering we'll probably never see her again. But at least we can have this one last Cheer Selfie Saturday together!

It's a beautiful day, isn't it? It's Saturday, there is college football on like 1/3 of the TV stations and the first Sunday of NFL season is just one sleep away. That is a very fine day indeed.

The New England Patriots Cheerleaders are Ready for Prime Time!

The NFL season officially kicks off tonight with the defending champion Patriots hosting the cheerleader-less and therefore dead to me Pittsburgh Steelers. This is actually a really strong season-opener that could turn out to be one of the best games of the week.

Of course, the New England Patriots' cheerleaders are going to be there, so that already makes it must-watch TV. But you can tune in for the football too. Assuming that's your thing.

Since we are about to be knee deep in NFL cheerleaders around here, I thought I would try to spread the love a little bit today. So we're stepping away from football for the day and heading over the NBA. Though we're not straying too far from yesterday's post since we're actually staying in the same city.

But that's only because I feel like we really need a dose of the Houston Rockets Power Dancers before coverage of the NFL season takes over. Hell, the pictures are even from the same source as yesterday. After all, Scott does a hell of job, so I don't see a real need to fix what ain't broke!
