The Florida Panthers Are Disbanding the Lady Panthers!

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE TRAVESTY!!!!! Apparently the Florida Panthers higher-ups are trying to prove once again why they are one of the most poorly run franchises in pro sports. As a team that has only made the playoffs once since the 2001-2002 season, the Panthers haven't really been giving their fans much to be excited about lately. Except for the Lady Panthers.

We ranked the Lady Panthers as the top ranked NHL Ice Girls squad just prior to the 2013-2014 season. They weren't just an extra incentive for Panthers fans to attend games. They were probably the best reason for fans to attend games. You don't just disband the hottest ice girls squad in the league. That's crazy talk.

I'm hoping this is a miserable failure for the Panthers, and they realize the error of the ways sooner rather than later. For our part, we're going to try to keep the spirit of the Lady Panthers alive until they are resurrected! Plus, there is a change.org petition circulating too!
