The Bay Area Shuckers Dancers are in the Christmas Spirit

'Tis the season . . . for cheerleaders all across the country to start breaking out their Christmas-inspired uniforms for the fans to behold. It's a magical time of year and, thankfully, there are people out there able to capture and willing to share them with others.

For instance, our pals over at Randy Bachand Photography are some of those people. Randy sent me this great Overhead Cheer Circle of the Bay Area Shuckers rocking their Christmas uniforms last night. Now that is the kind of email I like to wake up to!

The Baltimore Blast Cheerleaders Make a Cheer Selfie Saturday Appearance

We've featured the Baltimore Blast cheerleaders here on Pro Cheer Heaven once before (posing with Batman, no less), but it's been a long time, and I was kinda feeling the itch to head back that way. So what better time than Cheer Selfie Saturday? After all, Cheer Selfie Saturday doesn't get a lot of posts from minor league soccer cheer squads!

The New York Cosmos Girls on Halloween

That's right, we're still not done with the Halloween posts. I haven't heard any complaints yet, so I'm going to keep posting them as long as they make me happy. Or I run out of content. Whichever one comes first. And since I never get tired of seeing beautiful girls dressed up for Halloween, I'm guessing it's going to be the latter.

Today we've got the New York Cosmos girls on Halloween. Sure they went a little heavy on the Minnie Mouse costume, but I'm going to let it slide because at least they tried. More than I can say for a lot of teams!

The Bay Area Shuckers Dance Team Sent Me an Overhead Cheer Circle Picture!

A photographer for the Bay Area Shuckers dance team sent me this great Overhead Cheer Circle picture today that he said was "just for" me. Well shucks (see what I did there?), that is so very kind. No one loves a good Overhead Cheer Circle picture as much as I do!

This is the second time he's sent me a picture of the Shuckers dancers. I just hope he keeps up the tradition! Thanks a lot Randy!

Allen Americans Ice Angel Stashia is Living the Dream

We have long considered the Allen Americans Ice Angels to be one of the pre-eminent minor league cheer squads in the entire country. Which is why we have featured them 9 times in the past. And honestly, I think we saved the best for number 10.

Brand new Ice Angel Stashia has a pretty strong history in the minor league cheer world of Texas. Before joining the Ice Angels in August, Stashia was a member of the Texas Legends squad; another one of my favorites.

But this full time fashion merchandising student at the University of North Texas doesn't show any signs of stopping here. With a long term goal of owning her own clothing boutique some day, Stashia's more immediate plans involve trying out for the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancers squad now that she finally turned 21 on Sunday. Based on her rise through the Texas professional cheer ranks already, I have no doubt we'll see her in Cowboys blue and white next year.

Stashia would also like to be a role model for young girls suffering with depression and mental illness by sharing her story and her strength. That is a very important and humbling goal in life. If you can't root for somebody like Stashia, who can you root for?

Check Out the Brooklyn Cyclones Beach Bums

I know the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Brooklyn is the beach, so it's only natural that the Brooklyn Cyclones baseball squad calls their dancers the Beach Bums. Yeah, I understand that the stadium is just off the Coney Island pier, but it still seems a little strange to me.

Regardless, I am stoked the Cyclones actually have cheerleaders at their games. Just one more reason to love minor league baseball!

Staten Island Yankees Pinstripe Patrol

The Staten Island Yankees are a short season Class A minor league affiliate of the New York Yankees. Nicknamed the "Baby Bombers," the Staten Island Yankees obviously have a much more fun side than their big league brethren since they have a dance squad called The Pinstripe Patrol.

Our resident New York photographer (who has brought us some great pictures of the New York Jets, the New York Lizards and New York Cosmos in the past) offered up a few shots of the Pinstripe Patrol after a recent trip to Staten Island. I'm thinking the big club needs to start looking into this!

New York Lizards Dancer Jessica is Going to Run the Fashion World

I've been talking about the New York Lizards dance team a lot since I "discovered" them a year ago. For a dance squad in Major League Lacrosse, the Lizards seem to get an inordinate amount of time here on Pro Cheerleader Heaven. Honestly, Jessica is one of the reasons.

From the very beginning this third year Lizards vet has stood out as a bright, shining star on the squad. A senior at Farmingdale State College, Jessica is majoring in business and currently working as a marketing intern. Her goal in life: work in the fashion industry in either public relations or marketing. So basically she is going to be telling you what to wear in a couple of years.

For now, though, Jessica is going to continue bringing it on the Lizards sidelines and doing as many outdoor activities as she can. Apparently she is an avid jet skier and zip liner. I'm not sure "zip liner" is really a phrase, but you get the point. She likes to be active outside.

Hopefully she continues to be an active cheerleader as the years go on. I'm sure the Lizards would HATE to lose her! But no matter what she does in the future, we can all follow her journey on Twitter and Instagram and watch her do big things!

The Chesapeake Bayhawks' Hawkettes Took This Overhead Cheer Circle Picture Just for Us!

I got an email a couple of days ago from a photographer that shoots a lot of stuff for the Chesapeake Bayhawks' Hawkettes dance team. We've featured his stuff before, so I know whatever he sent was going to be good. But I had no idea how good.

The email said he and the girls got together and took an Overhead Cheer Circle picture just to be featured on Pro Cheerleader Heaven! That is incredible. This thing is starting to take off and people are noticing. I love it!

So thanks to the Hawkettes and Randy Blanchard Photography for sending us this amazing shot!

The New York Lizards are Making Me a Fan!

We have posted a few pro lacrosse cheer squads over the past couple of months, but for some reason I seem to come right back to the New York Lizards dancers.

Fortunately I have a hook-up from a local photographer that shares pictures of the Lizards dancers with me. He takes some great shots every time he heads to a game, and I am very thankful he is willing to share.

The San Jose Saberkittens Never Disappoint!

It's rare to find a minor league cheer squad that is as consistent as the San Jose Saberkittens. The weird squad name aside, the Saberkittens deliver gorgeous squads year after year. And that's not incredibly easy for most arena football teams.

Must be something in that San Jose water!

Texas Star Dancers on Cheer Selfie Saturday

Somehow the Texas Star dancers have only been featured on Pro Cheerleader Heaven one time prior to today. I'm not sure how that is even possible. Maybe this Cheer Selfie Saturday picture will get things jump-started around here and get these lovely ladies a few more spins on the PCH merry-go-round!

I love discovering new cheer and dance groups. I knew the Orlando Predators dancers existed, but I've never really spent a ton of team checking them out. They just aren't one of the Arena League squads I follow all that closely. So when you ran across this set of pictures from our pal Greg Zordan on Facebook, I just knew I had to share them.

Cheer Selfie Saturday Goes Back to Major League Lacrosse

On Friday we shared with you some behind the scenes pictures from the Denver Outlaws Dancers 1st ever bikini calendar photo shoot. We got such a good response on that post that we decided to follow it up today with another post from a Major League Lacrosse dance squad.

This time we're in the Northeast with the Chesapeake Bayhawks Hawkettes and our pal Alexis. Seems to me like she's got Cheer Selfie Saturday all figured out.

Looks like we need to be on the lookout for more lacrosse squads with dance teams!
